Upcoming Workshops
Create with the Sun: A Beginner’s Cyanotype Workshop at Wild Pines in Graeagle
Tuesday, July 21
4:00 PM - 6:30 PM
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll discover the art of sun printing using botanicals and found objects to create stunning blue-and-white designs. You'll learn about the history of cyanotype art, essential techniques to get started, and best practices for sourcing and foraging natural materials.
During this workshop, we’ll start by learning to treat provided paper with cyanotype solutions then you’ll dive in to making your own pieces on different types of pre-treated paper and fabric and end the class by making your very own bandana to take home to wear or turn into a wall hanging. A variety of pressed flowers and objects will be available to use but feel free to bring your own pressed flowers or special mementos if you’d like to experiment with those.

What the People Say
"Kali's workshop was an absolute blast and was a great multigenerational activity for our family. We loved learning something new, experimenting with all the different flowers and dried materials, and came away feeling accomplished and excited with our art and skills. Kali was an excellent teacher - her preparation and communication were top-notch (I have taken a lot of craft workshops and was impressed). Perhaps I could sum it up like this: at the end of the workshop, everyone wanted to make a few more pieces because we were having so much fun! Thanks for a fantastic experience."
"The instructor is kind and welcoming and I would definitely do it again."
"I had a great time, learned a new skill and I'm taking home gorgeous art I made myself! I give it five stars!"
"Take the class! I've had a kit for years and it was too intimidated to start it on my own. This class helped me feel confident to do it on my own."
"She over delivered and it was so inspiring and fun!"
